Roman Website

Kennet class have been learning about the Romans this term and have launched their own website. You can visit the site at www.kennetclass.weebly.com to see what they have learnt. The class would love to know what you like about the site so please leave them a comment in the visitors book.

Book Day

Today the children had lots of fun dressing up as their favourite book characters. We had a huge variety from snow white to The Grand High Witch. To see some more photos please look in the gallery.

Olympic torch leaves Westwood

The school waved goodbye to the 'Olympic' torch today. Some of the children in Thames class had the good fortune to help transport 'the torch' in the beautiful horse and carriage, owned, and driven by Elizabeth Cartwright-Hignett of Iford Manor. Memories they will never forget. On arrival at Christchurch we were greeted by over 400 children cheering and waving union jacks.

Cross Country Running

Lots of children in Kennet and Thames class took part in a cross country event at John of Gaunt School this week. They had to run a challenging circuit around the school grounds along with lots of children from other Primary schools. The circuit was a mile in length and all the children managed to run the whole distance. Well done to all the children who took part. To see some photos of the event please look in the photo gallery.
